One person died while other 56 passengers injured in a major accident. This mishap took place on the Nanpara-Lakhimpur highway in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh at around 5.30 pm on November 21. The driver of a private bus lost control over a bus and due to which the bus went into the ravine under the road and overturned. Locals immediately informed to the local police station. The local police team reached on the spot. Rescue team and ambulances also rushed to the spot. All the injured shifted to Nanpara CHC hospital for treatment. Doctors discharged 23 injured after primary treatment. The rest was referred to Bahraich Medical College after primary treatment. All the injured were from the Pilibhit district.
Uncontrolled private bus overturned due to the fog near Nanpara near Laxmanpur Mathei village. The bus overturned three times down the road and went into the pit. Passengers were going to Nepal. The bus had 60 people from Napuria of Sikhula police station in Pilibhit district. 56 passengers were seriously injured in these. Huge traffic disruption caused in the accident site. Some routes were diverted due to this accident. Traffic halted for few hours in the area. Traffic officials also deployed in the area to handle the situation. Traffic movement resumed after few hours.
