57 Fire Tenders Battled to Douse Surat Fire

A massive fire broke out at Raghuveer Market in Gujarat’s Surat city early on Tuesday morning (Feb 21). The fire broke out in 10-storey Raghuvir Textile market building in the Saroli area at around 3 am in the morning. Fire tenders pushed around 57 fire tenders to douse the flames as soon as the fire was reported. It took the fire personnel a huge time to control the situation. No loss of life or injuries reported in this incident. The fire personnel carried out the cooling operation in the vicinity. According to the officials, the cause of the fire was not ascertained.

The damage done by the fire was estimated to be around 300 crores. These kinds of recurring fire incidents in the city show the lack of available fire essentials in the vicinity.
