7 died after a four-storey under construction building collapsed in Gurugram

At least seven people died after a four-storey under construction building collapsed at Ullawas village near sector 65 in Gurugram, Haryana in the morning on January 24. This incident took place when the labourers were laying the roof the structure’s fourth floor. After this mishap, three National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, fire fighters, officials of the civil defense, dog squad and local police personnel were deployed for the rescue operations. Six bodies were recovered from the debris.  The bodies were sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. The Gurgaon Fire Department control room had received a call at 5.15 am from an Ullawas villager. In this mishap, Haryana Chief minister also announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakh each to family members of the dead.
