Jammu and Kashmir police constable injured in terror attack.

A terrorist attack took place in Srinagar’s Chanapora locality on April 26, where a Jammu and Kashmir police constable was injured critically. The attack took place at around 7:45 pm in Chanapora’s police station where it was described that some terrorist came in bikes and they started to open fire at the on-duty police officers who were present at the area’s police station. The terrorists fired 4 – 5 rounds at the police officers injuring one of the police constable. The police officers retaliated effectively to the attack of the terrorist but they managed to escape toward Baghi Mehtab, an area in south Kashmir.  The injured police constable was later rushed to the 92 Base military hospital.

  Soon after the attack took place the Security Forces launched cordon and search operation in the area. Al-Umar Mujahideen, a Kashmiri terrorist is being held responsible for the attack.
