Level 3 fire broke out at Maharashtra Compound in Govandi on March 19

Massive fire broke out at Maharashtra Compound in Govandi’s Baiganwadi area on March 19, afternoon. Three workers suffered injuries in this mishap who was later rushed to the hospital. Twelve fire tenders and two water tankers were pressed into operation to douse off the blaze. It took nearly 3 hours for fire officials to control the blaze. Fire officials declared it as level 3 fire.

Fire was said to be first reported at around 1.25 pm in the afternoon and engulfed the ground floor of the 10,000 sq ft godown. However the cause for the fire remains unknown. Disruption expected in the surrounding areas.
