Major fire gutted a cardboard factory at Bawana, Delhi on May 10

A major fire was broken out in a cardboard factory located at Delhi’s Bawana industrial area on May 10. Several units of fire brigade were rushed to the spot to douse off the flames. No casualty was reported in this mishap however, the factory was completely gutted in this fire. Fire brigade took more than six hours to completely extinguish the flames.

The factory is located at H Block of Sector 2 in Bawana DSIDC in Delhi on Sunday morning. It is learnt that fire brigade received the fire call at 7.55 am following which 20 fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot. Huge cloud of dark smoke could have been seen billowing from the factory. The factory structure was completely gutted as well as lot of raw material which was stored in the factory, was also destroyed in this fire. Fire brigade managed to completely extinguish the fire by 2 pm.

Meanwhile, the factory was closed due to nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak. Since no one was present in the factory premises, there was no loss of lives reported in this mishap. However, the area was sealed until the fire was contained.
