Massive fire broke in a chemical factory of New Delhi’s Naraina area .

Naraina locality of New Delhi was in a state of devastation on April 29 when a massive fire broke out in two chemical factories owned by the same person and was adjacent to each other. Among these two factory’s one of the building was used for producing the chemical while the other was used for storing the chemicals. The fire first broke out in one of the factory and later spread to the other due to the strong flow of wind. No workers were reported to be injured in this incident as Naraina remains closed on Mondays.

The fire tenders rushed to the spot as soon as they received the information regarding the fire incident. This calamity was reported to the fire department at around 11:37 am in the morning from a nearby four-storey building in the same area.

According to the reports, forty fire tenders were present in the spot to fight the flame. As the fire tenders were in verge to douse off the blaze, a sudden blast took place on the first floor of the building which was used for storing the chemicals. Two fire fighters were injured in this blast among which one of them suffered from burns while the other suffered from an arm fracture. Both the injured victims were rushed to the nearby hospital to receive appropriate treatment. The flame was finally brought under control at around 5:20 pm, but the cooling operations continued through the night.
