Massive fire broke out at a Rubber Factory in Jhilmil Industrial Area

Massive fire broke out at a Rubber Factory in Shahdara’s Jhilmil Industrial Area of Delhi at 9 am on July 13. Around 26 fire tenders had reached to the spot to control the situation. The cause of the fire was unknown. There were many residential buildings located near the industrial vicinity. Some people were trapped in side the building. Fire brought under control within two hours. The local police team, ambulance and administrative officers rushed to the spot immediately after this mishap. Injured shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment but latte they declared dead.

Three people, including two women died in a major fire. The hardware factory where the fire broke out manufactures plastic and rubber items like household tools and equipment. The building consists of a ground floor and three upper floors. Panic situation occurred in the area due to this fire. All equipment were gutted in the fire. After this incident, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the site and he announced Rs. 5 lakh compensation each to the families of those who died in the fire.
