Six plywood shops gutted in the fire, none hurt

A massive fire broke out in a plywood shops in Kolkata on May 29 at around 2 pm. After this mishap, 12 fire tenders, ambulances and water tankers were immediately rushed on the spot. No one was hurt in this mishap. Around six shops gutted in this fire. Huge traffic affected in the area. Fire brought under control after two hours. Local police also rushed at the incident site.

According to sources, fire erupted at godown and in a bamboo shed in south Kolkata on Rifle Range Road in Park Circus area. The fire spread quickly as there were inflammable material in the area. Godown situated near railway tracks in Sealdah South section of Eastern Railway. Train services were not affected due to this fire. Traffic police reached on the spot to closed Broad Street from Bullygunge Phari and Biresh Guha Street from the western slope of No. 4 Bridge due to this fire for precautionary measures.
