Two passengers killed and 25 seriously injured in HRTC bus accident at Jamli near Swarghat

Two passengers were killed and 25 others were injured Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus accident. This mishap took place at Karot Jamli near Swarghat area in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh in the evening on December 26 . Injured were shifted to PGI in Chandigarh and government hospital in Bilaspur. This accident took place when the bus was plying on local road on Jamli-Jainagar link road. After this incident, local Police, administrative officers and rescue team was rushed on spot to handle the situation.

The bus was on its way from Nalagarh to Jainagar via Swarghat in Bilaspur district. Bus was fell into deep 400 meter gorge at around 6.45 pm when driver lost his control on bus and fell into gorge. Total 40 passengers were travelling from bus.  Massive traffic disruption caused in the area. Locals also gathered at accident site. Bus was totally damaged.
