5 people died while 9 injured in a wall collapse incident in Delhi’s Alipur

The wall of under construction warehouse collapsed in Alipur of Delhi. At least five labors died while nine others were injured in this incident. All injured people were shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment. The local police were rushed to the spot for further investigation.
Approximately 100-feet-long and 15-feet-high wall of an under-construction warehouse collapsed in the afternoon on July 15. This tragic mishap took place when 20 labourers were digging a foundation adjacent to the wall. The area of the godown is about 5,000 square yards. The portion collapsed and fell on the labourers at Bakoli village near Chauhan Dharamkanta. Locals and other workers gathered at the spot and started rescue operation. At least 10 labourers got buried alive under the debris. Some workers immediately called up the local police station around 12:40 pm. Local police reached the spot along with rescue team, four Delhi fire brigade and ambulance. Nearly 14 people were rescued from the debris and shifted to Raja Harish Chandra hospital. Unfortunately, five people died.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the district administration is also involved in this relief and recue work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences for those who lost their lives.
