A fire broke out at a rubber factory at Plastic company of Topsia in Kolkata; no one injured


On April 21, a massive fire broke out in a transformer which located on Topsia road in in Tiljala police station area and later that flame spread to an adjacent plastic godown in Kolkata’s Topsia at 6.30 pm.


Locals immediately informed to the fire brigade department and local police station. Four fire tenders, ambulance as well as police and the rescue team quickly reached to the spot to control the situation. Many workers had trapped in the factory but fortunately, no one was injured in this mishap. Four more fire tenders rushed to the spot and immediately started evacuating people from the area. They brought fire under control after few hours.


The firefighters faced difficulty to douse the fire as the area was too congested. A tensed situation was formed during the evening hours. Further investigation was underway in the vicinity.
