A fire broke out at an auto parts manufacturing unit in the Bilaspur Industrial area on Oct 15


On October 15, a fire broke out at an auto parts manufacturing unit in the Bilaspur Industrial area near the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway in Gurugram, Haryana. The blaze erupted around 4.57 am.


A huge smoke was noticed emanating from the blaze which created panic among the locals.


Five to six people including the security guards, who were present at the premises, tried to douse the fire initially, but after the fire started spreading inside the structure, they informed their employers, who then called the fire department. Along with the police officials, 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse off the flames.


According to the sources, some drums filled with chemicals placed inside the unit exploded, which gave a spark to the blaze and it started spreading rapidly inside the manufacturing unit. Sources further revealed that no casualty was reported. It took several hours for the firefighters to douse off the flames whereas the firefighting team carried out the cooling operation inside the structure. According to the fire safety officer, a short circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the blaze inside the Bilaspur Industrial area. Whereas the concerned authorities will carry out a detailed probe into this incident.
