A major fire was reported in a factory in Panipat on October 22



A major fire broke out in a factory at Jatal Road in Panipat on October 22, the factory is said to be the manufacturer of carpets and bathtub mats. As soon as the fire incident was noticed, the locals immediately informed the fire brigade. Around 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and tried to douse off the flames.


According to the fire division official, the blaze started spreading rapidly inside the structure creating more issues for the fire tenders to control the flames. The fire division official further stated that it took around 10 hours for them to regulate the blaze. Later on, the cooling operation was conducted inside the structure.


Fortunately, no injury was reported in this incident however, the individuals who were residing close by the structure were moved out from their premises and were shifted to a safe place as a precautionary measure.


As the factory was situated near the residential area, the fire incident created panic amongst the residents whereas the vehicular movement in the locality was also affected. The police officials had cordoned off the area whereas the senior officers were also present on the incident site to observe the actual scenario. The cause of the fire is not ascertained yet whereas the concerned authorities who are investigating this matter are trying to find out the actual cause behind this incident.


The concerned officers who are handling this case concluded by stating that, the loss to items and property will probably be estimated after thorough investigation in this matter.
