An explosion took place at Bharat Chemicals plant in Palghar district on July 3



An explosion took place at the Bharat Chemicals factory in Boisar Industrial Area of Palghar, Maharashtra during the night hours of July 3. A sudden chaos was formed at around 11:30 pm after the blast took place in the chemical factory. The explosion was so massive that the ceiling of the unit collapsed trapping six people under the debris. As per the reports, around 36 workers were working in the factory when the explosion took place. The area was soon engulfed with billowing smoke and this situation raised a wave of panic among the people.


The fire tenders soon rushed to the spot after receiving the information and started the evacuation process soon after reaching. They managed to rescue all the six people who were trapped under the debris and soon took the situation under control.


Later, the injured were rushed to Sanjeevani hospital for medical attention. No casualties were reported in this incident. However, the cause of the explosion is still ascertained.
