BJP workers staged a protest against Arvind Kajriwal- led government in New Delhi on Aug 26


On August 26, the Delhi unit of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) staged a mega protest against the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) led Delhi government in Chandni Chowk area of New Delhi. Many senior leaders of the BJP party also joined the protest demanding resignation of the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, over the alleged excise policy scam.
During the protest, many BJP leaders gathered on the streets of New Delhi to stage a mega protest against the Kejriwal government. Senior leaders like Adesh Gupta also conducted foot marches where the supporters were holding placards and were raising slogans against Manish Sisodia. The protesters also torched effigies of Kejriwal and Sisodia during the protest.
Later, police forces were deployed on the spot to control the situation. They used water cannons to disperse the protesters.
