Fire breaks out in two flats of Shirin Manzil at Mazgaon, Mumbai.
A frantic situation was formed during the afternoon hours of May 18, when fire ignited in two flats of a seven-storey residential building at St Mary’s Road in Mazgoan area of Mumbai.
A sudden chaos was formed at around 12:22 pm when fire broke out in two flats located on the 6th floor of Shirin Manzil. According to the reports, a total of nine people was stranded in the building. The area was soon engulfed with billowing smoke and this situation raised a wave of panic among the people. As soon as people saw the huge smoke coming out from the building, they immediately contacted the fire department giving the information regarding the situation.
A team of four fire tenders, four water jets, one ambulance were deployed to the area. They started the evacuation process soon after reaching the spot. The fire tenders managed to rescue all the nine stranded people in the building. They faced difficulties while fighting the flame due to the billowing smoke. But they soon took the situation under control and after lot of efforts the fire was doused off. As per reports, no casualties where reported in this incident and the fire was later categorised as Level II fire.
