Fire broke out in a chemical factory near Shiva College in Ghaziabad on Aug 15

A frantic situation was formed during the morning hours of August 15, when a massive fire broke out in a chemical factory located near Shiva Institute of Management Studies in Pandavnagar area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. A sudden chaos was formed at around 9 am when the locals saw that fire ignited in the chemical factory. They tried to control the fire in the initial stage but soon the fire engulfed the entire factory. This situation raised a wave of panic among the people as the area was soon engulfed with billowing smoke.
Fire tenders soon rushed to the spot after receiving the information and started evacuating the people from nearby structures. The fire tenders faced difficulties while fighting the flame due to the billowing smoke. They soon took the situation under control and after lot of efforts the fire was doused off. No casualties were reported in this incident.
As per the reports, the chemical drums caught fire and started bursting as the flame took a formidable form. Around, four vehicles also got burnt in this incident and loss of lakhs of rupees have been estimated.
