Fire ignited at BMC demarcated area in Churchgate, Mumbai on December 9
A tensed situation was formed during the afternoon hours of December 9, when fire broke out in the BMC demarcated area near Churchgate railway station gate number 3, Mumbai, Maharashtra. A sudden chaos was formed among the commuters and the locals in the area at around 2 pm after blaze erupted in pile of dry garbage that was lying unattended on the south end side of the premises. According to the reports, the blaze led to thick black smoke in the area at the south end of the building and many railway officials had to step down from the building. The railway stuffs first tried to control the fire in the initial stage but soon the fire engulfed as a plume of black smoke covered the area.

A total of 4 fire engines, water tankers, ambulance and ward level civic stuff rushed to the spot soon after receiving the information and started controlling the crowd which gathered near the incident area. They soon took the situation under control and after lot of efforts the fire was doused off.
As per reports, no casualties were reported in this incident.
