Five people died in an explosion at the illegal crackers factory in North 24 Pargana’s Duttapukur


A massive explosion took place at the illegal firecracker factory in Duttapukur of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal. Unfortunately, five people lost their lives while several others injured in this blast on August 27 in the morning.


Fire tenders, local police team, personnel of the disaster management department and ambulances rushed to the spot after receiving the information and immediately started evacuating people from the area. A CID bomb squad, also rushed to the spot. The fire tenders faced a lot of difficulties while fighting the flame. Police seized raw materials used for manufacturing firecrackers for further investigation.


Over 50 houses in the neighboring houses were damaged due to this blast. The blast occurred when several people were working at the factory in Nilgunj's Moshpole. All the injured admitted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
