Four dead and 15 injured after a bus rammed into a truck on Pune-Solapur highway in Feb 1

On February 1 around 5 am a luxury bus collided with a truck on the Pune-Solapur highway near Yavat village in the Pune district of Maharashtra. Four people died whereas 15 others sustained injuries in this accident. The bus was on its way from Solapur towards Pune when it rammed into a stationary truck near the village.
According to the sources, the bus heading towards Pune suffered a tyre burst and collided with a container on the roadside. There were nearly 40 passengers present on the bus and most of them were sleeping when the accident took place.
Immediately after the accidents, the locals informed the police officials and rushed to the spot. Till then the locals tried to rescue the people. The police officials investigated the spot and helped the injured to reach the hospital for necessary treatment.
In this accident, the front section of the truck was severely damaged.
Due to the accident, the traffic on this route was affected for a while, which created inconvenience for travellers. An FIR has been filed at Yavat police station whereas further investigation is on to know the exact reason behind this accident.
