Massive fire at a Thermocol factory in Howrah; none hurt

A massvie fire broke out in a Thermocol factory in the Rajapur area of Domjur police station in Howrah, West Bengal on January 22. Three fire tenders had immediately reached the spot to douse off the flames. Fortunately, no one was injured in this mishap. The cause of fire was not ascertained.
This incident took place at around 12.30 pm when around 200 to 250 workers were working inside the factory. This factory is situated in remote area of the district. Chaos was created in the premises after this mishap. Workers tried to control the fire but they could not. Factory authority and villagers quickly informed to the fire brigade team as well as local police station. Firefighters rescued all the workers who were stuck inside the factory premises. Fire was brought under control after few hours of efforts. Whole factory was completely gutted and the thermocol stored in the factory was also destroyed in this fire. The reason behind the fire remained unknown. Investigation is underway by the local police officials.
Earlier, a fire had broken out in the Park Show cinema hall located in Kolkata of West Bengal. The fire was brought under control by the five fire tenders after much effort.
