One dead after a fire broke out on a film set in Andheri West on July 29
On July 29, a level-2 fire broke out on a film set in Andheri West, Mumbai. The movie set was installed at the Chitrakoot Ground next to the Andheri Sports Complex near Link Road. The blaze erupted around 4.30 in the evening.
As per reports, the set was staffed with technicians and workers during the incident. Eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one water tanker, one quick response vehicle, and one breathing apparatus van were pressed into service at the temporarily erected set of the film shoot.
Reports further stated that the blaze was reported to the BMC department by an NDRF team stationed at Andheri Sports Complex. One person was trapped under the debris and was rushed to the Cooper Hospital, where he was declared dead. Whereas no other injuries were reported.
Earlier the officials said that the blaze erupted at a shop in the area. Later on, they clarified the exact location. As the fire was massive the entire structure was completely gutted.
