Panic strikes at the National Hill View Public School after a hoax bomb threat

The National Hill View Public School in Ideal Homes Township in RR Nagar area of Bengaluru, Karnataka, received a hoax bomb threat through email on July 18. As soon as the school authorities realised the threat email, they immediately informed the police officials. Within no time, a bomb disposal squad and sniffer dog squad rushed to the school and inspected the school premises.
According to the sources, the threat email was received around 8.30 in the morning. Immediately the school management evacuated around 1,500 students from the school and shifted them to the neighbouring schools within half an hour. This step was taken as a preventive measure as the news about the bomb threat became public knowledge, and panic-stricken parents rushed to the school to enquire about the safety of their kids.
The police officials did a detailed investigation and inspected the school premises thoroughly. The search operation did not discover any suspicious device. Whereas, the email was declared a hoax. Later on, the school authorities declared a holiday over the incident as the students seemed tensed due to this incident.
An FIR has been registered and further investigation is on.
