Rajkot's furniture showroom caught fire on June 22


On June 22 a devastating fire broke out in a three-storey furniture showroom in Rajkot, Gujarat. The showroom was located near Anand Bangla Chowk in the city. As soon as the fire was reported fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot from the Mavdi fire station.


As firefighters struggled to contain the blaze, smoke billowed into the sky from the godown. Fortunately, no casualty was reported in this incident. Whereas around 50 people were evacuated from the structure.


As a result of the foam and other flammable materials used in making furniture, the fire rapidly spread throughout the structure.


The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. The incident sheds light on the importance of implementing effective fire safety measures to prevent such disasters and protect lives and property.
