Three dead after an unidentified man sets passengers on fire on the Alappuzha-Kannur executive exp

Tragedy struck the Kannur-bound train when an unknown person sprayed a flammable liquid on commuters, causing three deaths and eight people struggling with severe burn injuries. The accident occurred at 9.45 pm on April 3 on the Alappuzha-Kannur executive express, moments before crossing the Korapuzha Bridge between Kozhikode and Kannur.
Travelers on the train experienced a moment of panic when someone pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to an abrupt halt on a bridge spanning over the Korapuzha River. The incident caused a disruption in train services on this route and left many travelers shaken. Fortunately, no one was hurt but it highlighted the need for increased safety measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
After a medical emergency on the train, two compartments were sealed off to treat those who had been hurt. Meanwhile, medical aid was provided to anyone who was in need of it. With the help of the professionals, the situation was contained and the train departed again with all passengers safe and secure.
According to the sources, an unidentified person got onto a coach that was booked for someone else, carrying two bottles. Without any provocation, the unknown person set the passengers alight.
