Wall of a 4-storey building collapsed in suburban Bandra on June 7; one dead



The wall of a four-storey building collapsed on an adjoining two-storey house causing a frantic situation for the locals near Rajjak Chawl in Kherwadi Road area of Bandra (East), Mumbai on June 7. This incident took place at around 1:45 am. According to the reports, 11 people were trapped under the debris of the collapsed structure which raised a wave of panic among the locals. The fire department was soon informed regarding the horrendous situation.


Fire tenders along with police teams soon rushed to the spot after receiving the information and immediately started rescue operation. They managed to rescue all the trapped people from under the debris with the help of local residents.


Furthermore, one person died in this incident, while the rescued and injured people were rushed to the Bhabha Hospital in Bandra and V N Desai Hospital in Santacruz for medical attention.
